Cookie Policy

Last revised: 12 June 2026

This page explains how chefcare.my, operated by ChefCare Education Sdn. Bhd., uses cookies and similar browser storage. We keep our use deliberately small — this is an advisory site, not an advertising platform.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text entries a website stores in your browser so it can remember something between pages or visits — a login, a preference, or an anonymous visit counter. Related technologies such as localStorage work similarly and are covered by this policy.

What we actually use

Strictly necessary

  • Session cookie (PHPSESSID) — keeps your enquiry form secure by pairing it with a one-time security token. Expires when you close the browser. Cannot be switched off, because the form would stop working.
  • Consent record (ccChoice) — remembers whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies, so we do not ask you on every page. Stored in your browser's localStorage until you clear it.

Analytics (only if you accept)

  • Visit measurement — anonymous page-view counts that tell us which guides help students most. These are set only after you press “Accept” in the cookie dialog. Rejecting them changes nothing about how the site works for you.

Changing your mind

A small gear button sits in the lower-left corner of every page after you make your first choice. Click it at any time to reopen the cookie dialog and switch your answer. You can also clear cookies through your browser settings — instructions live in your browser's help menu under “clear browsing data”.

Cookies we do not use

No advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, no social media pixels, no fingerprinting. If that ever changes, this policy will say so plainly before anything is set.
